The National Association of Manufacturers’ (NAM) Center for Legal Action filed a brief in the Public Citizen v. Trump lawsuit in support of the administration’s executive order on regulations. Below is a statement from NAM Senior Vice President and General Counsel Linda Kelly regarding the lawsuit:
“This lawsuit against the Trump administration is baseless and premature. President Donald Trump’s approach to remove two regulations for every one new regulation is a game-changer and has already bolstered manufacturers’ confidence by signaling that the federal government is finally taking a smarter, modernized approach to regulation. Manufacturers have record-high optimism about the future of our industry—about our ability to grow and create jobs for the future here in the United States—due in part to the administration’s focus on reducing the regulatory burden. We urge the court to dismiss this suit without delay.”
