On Thursday, April 13, Mallinckrodt Pharmaceuticals and the National Association of Manufacturers (NAM) honored Senator Roy Blunt (R-MO), a recipient of the NAM Award for Manufacturing Legislative Excellence. The event took place at the Mallinckrodt campus located in Hazelwood, MO. Ray McCarty was in attendance of Blunt’s ceremony.
The NAM Award for Manufacturing Legislative Excellence recognized Senator Blunt’s exemplary voting record in the 114th Congress and his solid support for a strong manufacturing economy. Blunt has demonstrated his support for manufacturing by voting with manufacturers 100% of the time.
At the ceremony, McCarty asked Senator Blunt about his bills that would allow Congress more authority over regulations issued by federal agencies. Senator Blunt responded that he thought this would be a good time to implement such a bill, while President Trump is already taking steps toward repealing Obama-era regulations that threaten to double our utility bills, for example.
